The Prayer Shawl Ministry is one of many ways we provide congregational care to our members. Our shawls are started, worked and completed with prayer. Each shawl brings to the recipient the warmth, love, and concern that through prayer, have been absorbed into every stitch. These shawls are knitted or crocheted at home or at our weekly meeting.
We are meeting every Wednesday at 1-3 p.m. in Room C25. If you would like to learn to knit or crochet, we have several members who are very willing to help beginners.
Prayer shawls are given to people who need comfort, those who are grieving, lovely, homebound, or in spiritual need within and outside of our congregation. We also give shawls to new mothers. Occasionally, a shawl is given to honor someone in a special way.
Do you have a family member, friend, or special person in your life that could use the comfort of a shawl or lap blanket? Please complete the form below, or contact Teresa Bennington at firstname.lastname@example.org
