ROOTED Student Ministry is a community of students in 6th-12th grade, getting together each week to grow closer to God and to each other.
Let's face it, this is a hard world to navigate. We at ROOTED want to partner with parents to invest in the next generation, so that students can make an impact not only in their local community, but in the world. We believe that parents ultimately are the spiritual leaders for their children. We want to be able to support and encourage you as we walk with you in raising your children to the full knowledge of God.
High School Discipleship Class is available for students 9th-12th grades AND recently graduated students. We meet each Sunday morning at 10:10am in Room C17 (Youth Ministry Office).
Middle School Discipleship Class is available for students 6th-8th grade and meets each week on Sundays at 10:10am in the Scout Room, C18.
Student Fellowship - Sunday evenings, 5:30-7:30pm. What you will find on a typical Sunday evening are teens having a time to hang out together, with no pressure and no agenda - building relationships. We also include some group games to help break down the walls, and incorporate everyone. We always have a message that is rooted in God's word, because his Word is alive and active! Students are able to connect with his Word and are able to KNOW IT, USE IT, and LIVE IT OUT.
ROOTED is a place where your student will be invested in, so that they can discover their God given gifts and purpose, in order for them to make a significant impact in His kingdom.
ROOTED team leaders are investing in something that has a much greater return than anything we can see. They are investing in lives that will change the culture in our future world. If you have a passion to see lives changed and to see young lives transformed, please contact us so that we can discover how God can use you to speak into the lives of our students.
We want your kids to walk away from WUMC knowing that they are loved and valued and have a purpose. Our main goal is to help them to truly live out the command that Jesus gave, which is to Love God and Love Others!
